Alternative Energy

After reading and watching the depressing BP clusterfuck, it’s things like this that manage to cheer me up. This is 21st Century North Dakota:

These were built as part of the “shovel ready” projects in the stimulus bill. And Google is planning on building another windfarm somewhere in this state, as well.

    “Engergy”?

Looks kinda like part of western OK, only, ya know, greener. And with less suck. ;P

I have no idea what you’re talking about ;-)

    You FOOL!
They may look like innocent, harmless, polar-bear-saving wind mills, but they are not.
On a dark night, after liberal morons like you have traded away the last of our precious assault rifles, those “wind mills” will transform into GIANT ROBOT ENFORCERS of the COMMUNIST OBAMA TAKEOVER!!

My mistake; I grovel in anticipation of your forgiveness. :)

These things are dangerous, don’t you know ! Link to pdf Windfarms in Victoria and Tasmania are having trouble getting off the ground, and a 200million windfarm project in Victoria was halted because it was determined that the rrotating blades might kill on average one orange bellied parrot per year.Ok, there’s only 200 of them left apparently, but seriously…..

Ok, there’s only 200 of them left apparently, but

Well, in that case, I do think it’s better to build that windfarm elsewhere. OK, Victoria isn’t in the desert, but it’s still in Australia – there’s plenty of room, isn’t there?

You see, they dont give a flying fuck about the parrot, it’s about how not to have wind energy, it’s the government being lobbied to by coal and gas people and trying to find excuses not to invest in alternative energies like wind ! So in the next location, you can be sure it will be some other excuse !
