we took over the longest table during the Dinner. PZ ate mostly at the “speaker’s table” (pfffffttt…..), but the Trophy Wife joined us for a large part of the evening.

See those wide paddles? Only moose sport that kind of kit. Elk antlers are cylindrical and pointy like Brobdingnagian deer antlers. All three are quite tasty and nutritious. :^)

Indeed. Jadehawk arrived in a really remarkably good mood, because she had crossed the Atlantic in business class, paid by the airline as compensation for the delay… and her mood only improved even further as she enjoyed the beer and enthusiastically contributed to the conversation. :-)

As for Robin Ince, that is a clever guy, had a chat to him and Sid Rodrigues during one of the lunch breaks, he is not only extremely funny but also very knowledgeable.

I assume that’s Knockgoats or whatever he’s calling himself now (KCB? DSO? YMCA? Some abbreviation) with the beard on the left. I recognize Rohrschacht from the Australian pictures and PZ, of course. But who are the other folks?

People I know over the internet rarely look like I’d expect them to look. Ye Olde Blacksmith and Sili do look like I thought they would. I thought Jadehawk was a brunette and David Marjanović looks even more nerdy than I imagined.
